God damn it.It Follows gets so much more praise than it deserves. I've learned that the truth is r/horror fans don't actually like scary movies. They like suspense and other elements of horror but every movie that is actually scary gets dragged while movies like Pearl and Fresh are gassed up as the greatest movies of the year.Martyrs,Serbian Film,Irreversible,High Tension,No one lives,Silo 101 days,Children of the Sun. To name a few. No one lives is probably the safest one to watch then High Tension. Mainly because they don't come with as much shock value or gore as the other ones.Its really a lot of the same scene over and over. Slight spoiler but basically every scene, normal thing normal thing normal thing SOMETHING GOES WRONG, character realizes its a scary thing, spooky thing peaks. If they can handle constant jump scares and a couple pretty gorey scenes, its probably fine.
